Aland R. Fernandez M.D.
Personal History
Born in Nicaragua, Dr. Fernandez received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. His residency and cardiology fellowship were completed at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami where he received awards for Superior Performance as a Cardiology Fellow and Cardiology Fellow of the Year.
Dr. Fernandez then completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, under the tutelage of Dr. Spencer King, the world-renowned educator in the field of interventional cardiology.
Dr. Fernandez joined CCC in 1999 when his group merged with Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants and the practice became Clearwater Cardiovascular and Interventional Consultants.
Dr. Fernandez is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
