Richard Sola M.D.
Personal History
Dr. Sola was born and raised in Bronx, New York, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puerto Rico, and his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Cayey, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Sola’s internship and residency were completed at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, MI, followed by his cardiology fellowship at the same institution. Following his cardiology fellowship, Dr. Sola was an Instructor of Medicine at Wayne State and now serves as Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Sola joined Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants in 1999 when his group merged with and formed Clearwater Cardiovascular and Interventional Consultants. Board-certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Sola established the first free-standing outpatient cardiac catheterization facility in Tampa Bay and serves as Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Mease Countryside Hospital.
